This printer comes with an excellent build & design. It is well-built & feels sturdy. The toner cartridges can be accessed from the front. Then, paper jams can be removed only from its back. It involves removing the back panel only. Badly, the display console has no tilt adjustments. Besides, scanner is also not available. Then, the output tray is placed on its top.
Pro M255dw has a compact design. Measuring at 9.8 inches x 15.3 inches x 16.5 inches, it weighs 32.2 pounds. Because of the compact size, it will fit into tight spaces easily.
Display Screen
This machine offers a nice display console. It comes with a screen on the small side. However, icons & text are very clear. Besides, the setting menu is easy to navigate, too. Whether you are standing or sitting, visibility is great. However, tilt adjustment is not available.
Printing Speed
HP Color LaserJet Pro M255dw offers amazing printing speed. To print the first page of black-only documents, it takes a while. It is faster when printing color documents & photos. Photo Printing Quality
Sorry to say, this laser printer has a poor quality when printing photos. Blacks look deep & there are some areas with rich of colors. However, the overall image is a bit grainy. Besides, you’ll also find a lot of banding on the photo.
This printer offers disappointing color accuracy. This cannot reproduce most colors properly. That’s why it is much better for black-only documents.
Connectivity
There are a few outstanding options of connectivity as it supports most kinds of connections, but Bluetooth. Besides, it supports external storage devices, too. However, it is for a USB thumb drive only, not for SD cards.
With the HP Smart app, you will be able to scan using your android’s camera & find retailers for toners & different supplies. HP Color LaserJet Pro M255dw allows you to print files on most mobile devices. Ms. Office files, WebPages, and text files can only be printed on iOS.
