Design
This printer is a model that is focused on a professional user. That’s reflected from the first glance. It measures 375 mm x 347 mm x 237 mm and weighs 5 kg. So, ET-4700 is pretty robust. This printer comes in black & highlights its front where a 3.7” LCD screen allows you to see the information about printing, possible errors, ink status, etc.
It also comes with buttons on the right side allowing you to scroll through the menus. In addition, it also offers navigation keys as well as a numeric keyboard. It has many functions including sending a fax.
In the front, you’ll find the loading of cartridges as well as a loading of paper in a kind of closed tray. At the back, the paper is loaded in vertical format. There’s also Ethernet port, USB port & the power in the back, too.
Overall, Epson ET-4700 design leaves us lights & shadows. It looks strong, elegant, and beautiful. Besides that, it also gives a professional image to your office. But it comes with a few details that could have been polished, particularly to make you more comfortable.
Functions
This 4-in-1 printer allows you to print, copy, fax, and scan (all in black & white or color). It also comes with a 100-sheet paper loading capacity. However, its output capacity is only 30 sheets. It means you need to empty the tray every 30 pages.
Then, it also prints double-sided but not copy/scan double sided. Anyway, this is very useful. The print speed reaches 15 ppm for color documents and 33 ppm for black & white documents. In addition, it allows the paper tray to be adapted for up to A4 format. For the print resolution, it is up to 5760 x 1440 dpi.
For the scan data, the resolution is 1200 x 2400 dpi. If you want to send faxes, the transmission speed is at 3 seconds per page & an automatic redial.
Even though it offers a USB port and an Ethernet port, you can print from your tablet/mobile directly because of the Epson iPrint app, Wi-Fi & Wi-Fi Direct. Overall, Epson ET-4700is ideal for you who need a versatile printer with more functions and low ink consumption.
