Design
When it comes to design, there is not much striking you can see. It comes with textured & high-gloss black. This printer looks purposeful but not elegant. It is equipped with 35-sheet ADF on located on the flatbed scanner. Its ADF offers a cheery little quaff at its end. Then, token curves mark out the corners of the paper trays.
Then, the control panel is laid out & is set around a two-line by 16-character mono LCD display. Moving to the left, there’s a numeric pad you can use for fax dialing. It comes with a set of 4 fax-related buttons to its left & 5 quick-dial keys. On the right of the display, there are 5 buttons for menu navigation. At the extreme right, you will find 5 handle copy functions.
The scanner hinges up & the cover lifts up to give access to the combined drum & toner cartridge, that slots down into the middle. At the back, there are sockets for optional 3rd-party handset, phone line, Ethernet, and USB. HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf has no wireless option. However, you can use HP’s ePrint system.
Performance
This machine is claimed to be able to print 25 ppm. For graphics, it can manage 16.7 ppm. Of course, these belong to healthy speeds. For duplex speed, it can reach 13.5 ppm & copy times for 10s for a 15 cm x 10 cm photo on A4 paper.
Print is very good as you expect from a mono laser printer: clean cut black text. Besides, grayscale graphics seem a little bit mottled. The only consumable needed by this printer is a single drum & toner cartridge. Its 2,100-page page yield is reasonable.
