Brother MFC-495CW, Brother introduces new inkjet printers to their popular printers, including the MFC-495cw, a mid-priced color multi-function center.
For $129.99, the MFC-495cw combines wireless networking with print, scan, copy, photo print, and Super G3 fax capabilities, making it ideal for a home office. Build and design
Brother MFC-495CW is a beautiful, small printer with a lot of functions. The Brother logo is on top of the ADF, and the MFC-495cw label is on the adjustable LCD. The outer shell is colored black and dark gray, with the Brother logo on top and the MFC-495 label on the adjustable LCD.
For unattended scanning, copying, or faxing, the 15-sheet Automatic Document Feeder is positioned on top of the scanner. Different types of paper can be used with adjustable paper clamps.
The flatbed scanner is located below the ADF and is used to scan and copy individual papers, bound goods, and thick projects. Users can scan in a variety of formats, including JPEG and PDF, to desktops, e-mail, OCR, media cards, and other devices. On the MFC-495cw, Brother features the Auto Crop feature, which allows you to scan numerous items at once yet save them as separate files.
The huge control panel is centered on a 3.3-inch widescreen color LCD that may be adjusted. A number keypad, on/off button, redial/pause button, and hook key are all located to the left of the LCD. Device quick keys, four arrow directional pad, quick start buttons, clear/back, stop/exit, menu, ink, and ok keys are all located to the right of the LCD.
Besides, the control panel is the built-in memory card reader. USB, CompactFlash, and MemoryCard slots are all available on the MFC-495cw.
Performance
Brother MFC-495CW has a 120-sheet paper capacity, with a 100-sheet paper cassette and a 20-sheet picture bypass tray. The two trays are linked and can be adjusted to accommodate various media sizes. Underneath the memory card reader is the paper unit.
The front-loading four cartridge ink system is located to the right of the paper unit. Innobella inks from the LC61 family are used in the MFC-495cw: black, magenta, yellow, and cyan.
Connectivity
Wireless networking is available on the Brother MFC-495cw; however, those who prefer a USB or Ethernet connection will find both connections on the inside of the machine. The two ports may be found by lifting the top half. The telephone ports are located near the connecting plug on the back left corner of the MFC-495cw.
Brother MFC-495CW has two additional access points: one on top of the machine with the ADF and the other on the rear of the printer.
