It features 8 quick-dial buttons located at the extreme left. Besides, there are also 3 short rows of print, copy and fax options. There is a 2-line backlit LCD text display in the center where it has 3 illuminated mode buttons for copy, scan, and fax in front. Then, you will find a diamond of navigation keys at the right of the display. At the right-hand end, it features Start & Stop buttons.
The paper-out slot is available below the control panel. There is a high-gloss strip that bears the ‘Brother’ logo below the paper-out slot. At the bottom of the front panel, you can find a 250-sheet paper tray. This machine supports Ethernet and USB. However, wireless connection is also available.
Print Speed & Quality
Talking about print speed, Brother MFC-7860 reaches 26 ppm. Of course, it depends on the type of the document you print. The print quality is so good, with clear, sharp black text. The default resolution is 600 dpi. Then, the engine of the print can go 2400 x 600 dpi. Even though it can print duplex, it has no duplex scanner. It can produce a double-sided copy from a single-sided original.
This multifunction printer is a very mature product. Therefore, you would not expect it to make any major errors in the design. You will not see any in the Brother MFC-7860 quick & functional piece of office equipment. Unfortunately, its price is high enough. You can buy it at almost 300 pounds sterling.
